Where to land for the Monaco Grand Prix

Monaco has a heliport but no runway. You land on the Riviera and cover the last few kilometres by helicopter or car.

AirportCodeTo the venueGood to know
Nice Côte d'AzurNCE5 min by helicopterThe usual choice. The helicopter lands at the Monaco heliport, a short ride from the circuit.
Nice Côte d'AzurNCE30 min by carFine on a quiet day. On race weekend, traffic on the coast road can triple the time.
Cannes MandelieuCEQ50 min by carA calmer airport for light and midsize jets, with a longer drive along the coast.
GenoaGOA2 h by carAn Italian alternative when Nice runs out of parking, about two hours by road.

Helicopter seats on race day sell out early. We book them together with the flight.

The price of a private jet to Monaco depends on your starting point and the size of the jet. These estimates are priced to Nice.

Prices are one way estimates for the whole aircraft, not per seat, at typical rates for November 2026. Event weeks often cost more, so treat them as a starting point.

Race weekend adds demand and many jets park elsewhere after the drop off. Booking early keeps both the price and the choice of aircraft in your favour.

How to plan a Monaco Grand Prix weekend by air

Getting in is easy with a plan. Getting out on Sunday evening is where planning pays off.

  • Book the helicopter transfer with the jet
  • Arrive on Thursday or Friday, before the Saturday peak
  • Reserve a departure slot for Sunday night or Monday morning
  • Ask about a yacht berth or a car with a pass for the circuit area
  • Keep passports handy, Nice is a Schengen border for flights from the UK

Tell us your grandstand or terrace and your hotel. We will plan the transfers around the race programme.

Questions before you fly

How do I get to the Monaco Grand Prix by private jet?

Fly into Nice, then take a helicopter of about seven minutes to the Monaco heliport, or a car of about 30 minutes in normal traffic. Nice is extremely busy that weekend, so book slots and helicopter seats early.

Can I land a private jet in Monaco?

No. Monaco has only a heliport. Private jets land at Nice, about 20 km away, or at Cannes Mandelieu for smaller aircraft.

How far ahead should I book for the Monaco Grand Prix?

Eight weeks or more for Friday arrivals and Sunday night departures. These are the hardest slots of the year on the Riviera.
