Private jet interior: what it looks like inside
Every private jet interior is built around one idea: the cabin is yours. How much room you get, and whether there is a bed or a full bathroom, depends mostly on the size of the jet.

Private jet interior by jet size
The inside of a private jet changes a lot from one size to the next. Cabin height, the bathroom and the chance of a bed are the three differences people notice first.
This table compares typical cabins in each class. Individual aircraft differ, so we confirm the layout of the exact jet in your quote.
| Jet size | Cabin height | Stand up | Bathroom | Sleeping | Bags |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Turboprop | 4.8 ft | No | Often none, or a small toilet | No | 6 medium bags |
| Very light jet | 4.9 ft | No | Small, often a belted seat | No | 4 medium bags |
| Light jet | 4.9 ft | No | Small enclosed lavatory on most | No | 6 medium bags |
| Midsize jet | 5.7 to 6 ft | Most people | Enclosed lavatory | Seats recline | 8 medium bags |
| Super midsize jet | 6 ft | Yes | Enclosed lavatory | Seats recline nearly flat | 10 medium bags |
| Heavy jet | 6.1 ft | Yes | Full washroom, often two | Divans convert to beds | 14 medium bags |
| Ultra long range jet | 6.2 to 6.4 ft | Yes | Full washrooms | Beds, some with a private bedroom | 16 medium bags |
If standing room or a proper bathroom matters, a midsize jet is the smallest to ask for. For overnight flights, look at heavy and long range jets.
Inside a private jet: the parts of the cabin
Inside a private jet, the cabin is split into a few zones. Larger aircraft simply have more of them.
Club seats
Four leather seats facing each other around tables. They swivel, recline and track sideways, and they are where most people spend the flight.
Divan
A sofa along one side of the cabin. On heavy jets it turns into a full length bed for overnight trips.
Galley
A small kitchen near the door with an oven, coffee maker and cold storage. Larger jets can serve a full hot meal.
Lavatory
From a compact toilet in small jets to a full washroom with a sink and vanity in large ones. Larger cabins add room to change and a separate vanity.
Bedroom
A private room at the back with a fixed bed. Found on some long range jets and VIP airliners.
Wi Fi and screens
Many jets have Wi Fi, moving maps and screens. The system varies by aircraft, so we confirm it for your flight.
Want a specific layout, such as a forward club for meetings and a divan at the back? Tell us, and we will look for aircraft that match.
Luxury private jet interior on large cabins
A luxury private jet interior is about space first and materials second. On large cabins you get both.
Heavy and long range jets have three or four living areas in a row: a club for meetings, a dining table, a lounge and a rest area. Seats are wider, the cabin is quieter and the air is kept at a lower cabin altitude, so you arrive less tired.
Finishes are usually leather, wool carpet and wood veneer. Owners choose them, so two jets of the same model can look quite different inside.

Private jet with a bedroom
A private jet with a bedroom is the top of the market. Only a few aircraft types offer a separate room with a fixed bed.
The Bombardier Global 7500 has a permanent bedroom at the back of its four zone cabin. Some Gulfstream G700 and Falcon 8X layouts add a private stateroom too. VIP airliners such as the ACJ and BBJ go further, with full bedrooms and often a shower.
On other heavy jets, the divan and facing seats convert into beds. Ask for a bedroom when you request a quote, and we will show only aircraft that have one.
Private jet luggage: will your bags fit?
Private jet luggage space is limited by the hold, not by a weight allowance. Enter your group and bags to see which jet sizes fit.
The checker uses typical hold sizes. Soft bags fit better than hard cases, and we confirm the real space of your aircraft before you fly.
Private jet cabin crew
Private jet cabin crew depends on the size of the aircraft. On light and midsize jets the second pilot looks after drinks and snacks, and the cabin is set up before you board.
Most heavy and long range jets fly with a trained cabin attendant who serves meals, prepares beds and handles requests. On a super midsize jet you can ask for one for a fee, which suits longer flights with a full cabin.
Inside a private jet: what to expect on board
Photos make every cabin look large. These are the details that decide how a flight feels in practice.
Small private jet interior
In very light and light jets you sit in four club seats, with one or two more seats near the door. You cannot stand fully upright, but on a flight of one or two hours few people mind. The bathroom is small and the bags go in the nose or the tail.
Private plane interior vs jet
A turboprop such as the Pilatus PC 12 has a surprisingly wide cabin and a large cargo door at the back. It is noisier than a jet and flies lower. On short island and mountain trips it is often the most practical choice.
Gulfstream and Global cabins
The Gulfstream G650ER and G700 and the Bombardier Global 7500 have the tallest and widest cabins among business jets. They are built for 12 to 14 hour flights. Large oval windows, a low cabin altitude and quiet engines make a real difference on that length of trip.
Private jet interior design
Owners choose the layout and finishes, so interiors vary even within one model. Before you book, we can send photos of the exact aircraft.
- Cabin photos and the seat map
- Year of the last interior refit
- Wi Fi system and entertainment

Private jet interior questions
What people ask most about life inside a private jet. If a detail matters to you, tell us and we will confirm it with the operator before you book.
Do private jets have bathrooms?
Most do. Light jets usually have a small enclosed lavatory, and midsize jets and larger have a proper washroom with a sink. Some turboprops and very light jets have only a basic toilet, so ask if it matters.
Can you stand up inside a private jet?
From a midsize jet upward, most adults can stand or nearly stand. Super midsize, heavy and long range jets have cabins about 6 feet tall or more.
Do private jets have Wi Fi?
Many do, especially heavy and long range jets. Speed and coverage vary by system and region, and some operators charge for data, which we list in the quote.
Is there a flight attendant on a private jet?
On most heavy and long range jets, yes. On smaller jets the second pilot usually serves drinks and snacks, and you can ask for a cabin attendant for a fee.
How much luggage can I bring?
From about 4 medium bags in a very light jet to 16 or more in a long range jet. Use the luggage checker on this page, and tell us about skis, golf clubs or other long items.
