Prices first, calls later

Private jet rental with prices first, a call only if you want one

Most private jet companies ask for your number before they show a single price. We do it the other way round. Our calculator uses real hourly rates, flight times and typical fees, so the estimate you see is close to the quote you get.

When you are ready, an advisor checks which aircraft are actually free and confirms the operator meets our safety standard. You get two or three options with photos, the year of the aircraft and a fixed price. That is it. No membership, no deposit for a quote.

How private jet charter works

Start with a quote

Booking a private jet charter takes three steps and usually less than an hour. You can stop after the first one and simply keep the price for later.

  1. See the price

Enter your route and group size. You get an estimate for every jet that can make the trip, with flight time and stops.

  2. Choose the aircraft

Your advisor sends real options, usually within 30 minutes. You see the operator, the safety rating and what is included.

  3. Fly

Arrive 15 minutes before departure at the private terminal. Your advisor tracks the flight and handles any change on the day.

From London, a light jet flies about 1,950 miles nonstop and reaches 20 of our 51 other destinations without a fuel stop. The farthest are Mykonos, Malaga, Rome, Sardinia.

A light jet covers most trips inside Europe or across a few US states, while long range jets cross oceans in one go. We always suggest the smallest jet that flies your trip nonstop, because extra range costs more per hour.

Safety

Private jet operators checked before you see the quote

A lower price never moves an aircraft to the top of the list if the operator falls short. Every check below happens before you see a quote.

Read our safety standard
  • Valid air operator certificate, such as FAA Part 135 or an EASA AOC
  • Independent audit from ARGUS, Wyvern or IS BAO
  • Liability insurance checked on every booking
  • Crew experience on type and on the destination airport
  • No grey charter. Ever.

If an operator fails any of these checks, its aircraft never reach your quote. You can ask for the audit details on any flight we book.

What it costs

Private jet cost from $2,600 an hour, all in

The price of a charter comes down to three things. The hourly rate of the aircraft, the time in the air and the fees at both airports.

Short trips in small jets are cheaper than most people think. Six friends sharing a light jet from London to Nice often pay less per person than flexible business class tickets.

Jet sizeSeatsPer hour
Turboprop6 to 8$2,600 to $3,600
Very light jet4 to 5$3,200 to $4,300
Light jet6 to 7$4,200 to $5,800
Midsize jet7 to 9$5,500 to $7,200
Super midsize jet8 to 10$7,000 to $9,500
Heavy jet10 to 14$9,500 to $13,500
Ultra long range jet12 to 16$13,000 to $19,000

Light jets are the most booked size, at $4,200 to $5,800 per hour. Airport fees and taxes usually add 7 to 14 percent to the final price.

Private jet charter, rental and hire in one place

Private jet rental in New York, private jet hire in London, a private plane for a weekend in Ibiza. The words change from country to country, but the service is the same.

What a charter flight is

You book the whole aircraft with its crew, not a seat. It leaves when you are ready, from a private terminal where you arrive 15 minutes before departure. Nobody else is on board unless you invite them.

A private jet company that works for you

FlyPrivateJet.net is a charter agent, not an airline. We own no aircraft, so there is no fleet we need to fill. For every trip we compare licensed operators and choose the jet that suits your group, your bags and your budget.

Which private plane for which trip

Distance and group size decide the aircraft. These three cover most private flights our clients book.

  • Turboprop or light jet for short hops like London to Paris or LA to Vegas
  • Midsize or super midsize jet for coast to coast flights in the US
  • Long range jet for New York to London nonstop

What a jet charter costs

Prices are set by the hour. Expect about $2,600 an hour in a turboprop and up to $19,000 in the largest jets. Airport fees and taxes usually add 7 to 14 percent on top.

The calculator at the top of this page prices every jet size before you share any details. When you are ready to rent a private jet, one advisor books it, checks the operator and stays with you until you land.

Called at ten in the morning, wheels up from Farnborough just after two. The price on the phone was the price on the invoice.

New YorkPalm Beach

Fourth trip with Rachel now. She remembers that my wife hates early departures and that Biscuit, our spaniel, needs a window seat. Small things, but that is why we keep coming back. The Teterboro terminal was quiet and we were in the air twenty minutes after the car pulled up.

Easy booking for eight of us on short notice. Would use again.

LondonGeneva

A thunderstorm over Geneva held us on the ground for forty minutes on the way back. Not their fault, and we got a text every ten minutes, which I appreciated more than I expected. One star off only because the catering was lighter than what we had asked for.

I wanted the midsize to save money. They told me straight that in January it would need a fuel stop going into Aspen and quoted a Challenger 350 next to it. Paid a bit more, flew nonstop, no regrets.

Overnight with three kids. Beds made before takeoff, everyone slept.

Got three options inside half an hour with photos and the year of each aircraft. We went with the cheapest one and honestly could not tell.

Short hop, but the pilot waited for a friend who missed the earlier ferry and nobody made a fuss about it. Nice crew.

Before you fly private

Quick answers to what people ask before their first private flight. For anything else, an advisor is on duty 24 hours a day.

How much does it cost to fly on a private jet?

Charter prices start around $2,600 per hour for a turboprop and $4,200 for a light jet. Large cabin jets cost $9,500 or more per hour. A one hour trip like London to Paris starts near $3,000 one way. Use the calculator for your own route.

How far in advance should I book?

A few days is enough for most trips. For holidays, major events and peak ski weekends, book two to three weeks ahead. If an aircraft is nearby, we can arrange a flight in three to four hours.

Is a private jet worth it compared with first class?

For one person, rarely on price alone. For four to eight people, a light or midsize jet often costs about the same as last minute business class, and you save two to three hours of airport time on every trip.

Do you own the aircraft?

No. We are an independent charter agent. We book flights with licensed operators that pass our safety checks, which lets us pick the best aircraft for each trip rather than the one we need to fill.

What is included in the price?

Aircraft, crew, fuel, airport and handling fees, standard catering and taxes are included in the final quote. Deicing, special catering, ground transport and internet data on board can be extra, and we list them before you pay.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes. Pets travel in the cabin with you on most aircraft. Tell us when you book so we choose an operator that welcomes pets and prepare the right documents for your destination.

What is a charter flight?

A charter flight is a flight you book for your own group, on your own schedule, rather than buying seats on an airline. You hire the whole aircraft with its crew. A private jet charter is the same idea in a business jet, flying from private terminals.
